5th Annual Festival of the Horse Cornhole Tournament

Saturday, September 9th | Blue Barn at Scott County Fairgrounds, 1080 Cardinal Drive,

It’s time for our 5th annual Festival of the Horse Cornhole Tournament. ✨ This year we will benefit Trooper Island, Trooper Island Camp was developed by the Kentucky State Police as part of a long range program of public service to the youth of Kentucky: a place where the tensions and turmoil of our everyday lives can be forgotten; and for one week young people can be given a touch of hope and desire of a better tomorrow. ✨

Event Location.: Scott County Fairgrounds 1080 Cardinal Drive, Georgetown, Ky 40324 in the big Blue Barn beside the truck pull area and the Outdoor Horse arena.

Event #1 – Singles Tournament

Signups at 8:30am | Start Time at 9am
·      Singles Tournament – you are your own partner
·      Double Elimination Format
·      $20 per person Entry Fee
·      70/30 payback (70% to the Pot, 30% to Trooper Island Benefit Fund)
·      Will do 2 brackets if enough sign up. (Pros and Joes)

Event #2 – BYOP Blind Draw Crew Cup

Signups begin at 10:30am | Start time at 11am
·      Bring Your Own Partner, Team of 2, and be Blind Drawn with Another Team of 2 for a Crew Cup Team of 4, Bring Your Own Bags
·      Double Elimination Format.
·      $20 per person Entry Fee
·      70/30 payback (70% to the Pot, 30% to Trooper Island Benefit Fund)
·     Payout to the Top 2 Teams based on 10 Teams.

Event #3 – Doubles Tournament

Signups begin at 1:00pm | Start time at 2:00pm
·      Bring Your Own Partner/Bring Your Own Bags
·      Double Elimination Format.
·      2 out of 3 in the Winners Bracket
·      70/30 payback (70% to the Pot, 30% to Trooper Island Benefit Fund)
·     Payout to the Top 3 places based on 20 Teams.

OPEN TO EVERYONE -You DO NOT have to participate in the other events to compete.

Long Shot Event

Start Time 1pm
·      The key is to make one cornhole bag in the hole. It starts at 27 ft. Each successful shot will move the board back 1ft at a time.
·      We will run this event from 1pm until the event coordinator calls last shot. It will cost $1.00 per shot.
·      The person with the longest recorded shot will win the pot. Payout is 50/50: 50% to the Contestant and 50% to Trooper Island Benefit Fund

Hole Shot Event

Ticket Sales will start at 2:15pm
·      Cost of Tickets are as follows- $5 each, 3 for $10, 7 for $20
·      Ticket will be Drawn right before Championship Game.
·      Contestant Drawn will get 2 bags to throw at a holeshot box.
·      1 bag in the hole Wins!
·      Payout is 50/50 (50% to winner, 50% to Trooper Island Benefit Fund)
·      In the Case drawn contestant misses both bags, we will draw another ticket. And repeat until someone makes 1 bag.

Knock Out Games

These will Happen a Few times through the day.
·      Cost to Enter is $5 per person.
·      Round 1-Everyone will Start on one end with 4 bags. Object is to make 1 bag. If you miss all 4, you have been eliminated.
·      Round 2- Everyone will Start on other end throwing back with 3 bags. Object is to make 1 bag to advance. If you miss all 3, you have been eliminated.
·      Round 3- Everyone will throw 2 bags. Object is to make 1 bag to advance. If you Miss both bags, you have been eliminated.
·      Round 4- Everyone will throw 1 bag. Object is to make it. If you miss, your eliminated unless everyone else misses. Whoever makes it will advance to next round.
·      Finals- Everyone left will throw one bag until someone makes it and everyone else misses. That Contestant will be the Winner!
·      Payout will be 50/50 (50% to the Winner, 50% to the Trooper island Benefit)
